THE ALL-PERVADING POWER OF THE SPIRIT

　The spirit which breathed life into us has given us a common link, because throughout the whole world all the children of the Great Spirit are fundamentally united. The spirit that enables them to live on earth and beyond is the same spirit that makes them a vast family with a common, divine parent.

　It is this sublime truth we seek to express because it is greater than all physical differences, obstacles and barriers. It transcends all colour, language and nationality. It reveals that behind the surface of physical being, there is a common spiritual attribute that binds all people together with an unbreakable brotherhood and sisterhood.

　This vital truth is necessary all over the world. When it is appreciated, it will help to end all war, it will destroy selfishness, greed and vested interest that are far too dominant in many lands. It will substitute the only true superiority, the advance of the spirit over the lower, debased material standards that are far too prevalent.

　As this understanding spreads, so the infinite power of the spirit, with all its wealth, splendour, grandeur, love, guid-ance and healing will manifest in fuller measure and drive out the darkness of ignorance, prejudice and superstition

that have reigned for too long and brought chaos and disaster in their train.

　You are the Great Spirit in miniature. That power can grow, expand, unfold, enlarge, flourish, bloom, as you allow it to do so. You determine its growth, none else can do it for you; that is the purpose of earthly life. Realise that you are the Great Spirit and you realise that the kingdom of heaven is within you. It cannot fail.

　You cannot want, you cannot go hungry or thirsty once you have adjusted yourself to the laws of eternal supply. You will not receive more than is necessary but you will receive according to your growth, no more, no less, no higher, no lower. It cannot be any other way.

　Spirit is not subjected to the limitations of matter. Spirit, which provides the dynamic of all life, the mainspring of all existence, will provide you with all that you require in your earthly life. The purpose of your being here is a very simple one. It is to fortify, to equip, to unfold that spiritual nature which is yours, so that you are prepared for the next stage beyond death. Thus, every experience, good or bad, sun-shine and shadow, strength and weakness, love and hate, health and sickness, adds its quota to your spiritual growth. There are millions of ways of expressing truth, because truth is of the Great Spirit and it can only be expressed according to the evolution of the individual through whom it has to be expressed. It is through simplicity that you learn truth. Using long words and finding new names does not make for truth. Often, they serve as masks for ignorance.

　The truth that we teach is the truth of the Great Spirit that knows no bounds and no limitations. It is for all, not for one. It seeks to embrace the whole of humanity within its loving embrace.

　Reality is not to be found in matter, neither is it to be discovered within your bodily frame. The seed of existence is not to be located within any bodily organ. You are spiritual beings now. You do not attain spiritual natures by coming to our world.

　From the moment of conception you are spiritual beings. There is nothing that you can do to cut yourselves off from that reality which enables you to live. The whole of your world exists because of spirit. Without spirit there is no life, for life is spirit and spirit is life.

　Hold on to essentials. Do not allow yourself to be diverted. Hold fast to that which you know to be true and when all seems to be full of riddles, relax, retire within where the peace and power of the Great Spirit dwell. And within, in the silence and hush of the spirit, you will find all that is necessary. Make sure that that which is being woven into the fabric of your being is according to the divine pattern.

　Let us remember why we were created by the Great Spirit. Let us strive to do nothing which will bring a blemish to that divine association, so that always we qualify for the benediction that comes to all who are linked in unity of purpose with the Great Spirit of all life.
